Families Welcome!
Come Curious. Leave Inspired.
Think of This Is Us as a family-friendly exhibition where Stenwood families open a window into something that is meaningful to them. There is no single way to participate — every table is as unique as the family behind it!
What happens at the event?
Explore
Kids and families can visit tables throughout the evening, discovering new places, traditions, hobbies, interests and stories.
Connect
Talk with the families behind each display and learn what makes their story, tradition or passion special to them.
Experience
Many tables include something to do — a craft, game, activity, demonstration or other hands-on way to experience the story.
Taste
And yes, there is usually plenty of food! Families often share snacks, treats and foods connected to what they are showcasing.
🌟 Want to share something?
Families who exhibit sign up ahead of time to host a table and share something important to them. It could be a country your family has lived in, a favorite hobby, a family tradition, a sport, a cultural tradition, a special interest — anything that tells a little bit of your family's story.
Many families create a simple poster or display with information, photos or objects to help tell their story. Some add a craft, game, food tasting or other activity. There is no need to make it fancy! The goal is simply to share something you love and help others learn about it.
💙 Just want to come and explore?
Absolutely! All Stenwood families are welcome, whether or not you have a display.
Bring the kids and let them explore. They can visit different tables, ask questions, try activities, play games, sample foods and discover all the different things that make our Stenwood families who they are.
Every family who brings a story, a tradition, a passion or an experience helps make our school community stronger. Whether you host a table or simply come to explore, you are part of what makes This Is Us special.

Wondering what the event actually looks like? Take a peek at last year's This Is Us to see some of the creative, fun and wonderfully different displays our Stenwood families shared.
You'll see just how many different ways families can participate — and maybe get an idea for something you'd love to share this year!
