Spelling Bee Registration is now open! Students in all grades are welcome!

The Spelling Bee will be in person on Thursday, Feb 26 at 6:00 pm at Stenwood.

The in-person bee will be an encouraging and welcoming environment for spellers of all ages! Trophies will be awarded to the top three spellers overall, as well as the top junior spellers in K-2 nd grades. The school champion will be eligible to represent Stenwood at the Fairfax County Spelling Bee in March.

Participation is sponsored by the Stenwood PTA and is free to all students.

You will receive instructions and word lists with definitions that your child may use to study. Study a lot, a little, or not at all!

The bee is part of the Scripps National Spelling Bee program. Scripps has phased out their online testing system, which we used in previous years for initial rounds.


Volunteers will be needed!
